MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mountaineer baseball team (13-35, 4-24 PSAC East) hosted the Bloomsburg Huskies (27-18, 14-14 PSAC East) on Friday (May 1) afternoon, with the first game taken by the Mounties.
Game One: Mansfield 6, Bloomsburg 4
Bloomsburg had a single to the left field and brought in two runs to take the lead in the second inning.
Kahale Burns had a home run into deep center field which brought in Evan Laredo to tie up the game.
Back to Back another homer was hit by Billy Riggs, giving the Mountaineers the lead 3-2.
The Huskies added two more runs in the fourth to gain the lead once again.
To start the fifth, Peter Tadic had a single to the pitcher as Tanner Hoffman came home.
Laredo was hit by a pitch with bases loaded for an easy run and Tadic scored on a sacrificial fly ball to right field.
However, Mansfield was able to take the lead pulling away with the 6-4 win.
Game Two: Bloomsburg 15, Mansfield 4
The Huskies had a two run lead after the first inning of play.
Cooper Rother hit a double to left center, which allowed Burns and Nick Ledger to score.
Bloomsburg responded with eight unanswered runs until the Mounties picked two up in the fifth.
The Huskies were able to add five more runs in the sixth to take the game 15-4.
This concludes the 2026 Mansfield Mountaineer Baseball Season.
