Katie Fitzpatrick scored a team-high 10 points, but Mansfield struggled to get much going in the first half in a 54-33 PSAC East loss Saturday afternoon at Decker Gymnasium.

Lock Haven scored the first six points of the game and jumped out to 17-4 lead over the first 10 minutes of the half. The Lady Eagles led by as many as 19 points in the first half as Mansfield was ice-cold from the floor, shooting just 23.1%.

Lock Haven took a 30-13 lead into halftime.

The Mountaineers wouldn't go away quietly though, opening the second half with five unanswered points to bring their deficit down to single digits at 30-21. Mansfield trailed 36-26 with 11:35 remaining in the game, but the Eagles dashed all hopes of a comeback.

Fitzpatrick connected on five-of-nine field goals to pace the Mounties in scoring. Fitzpatrick and
Brielle Kelly each grabbed a team-high seven boards.
Maria Kelleher added seven points for Mansfield. Kelleher has hit a 3-pointer in six of seven games this season.

Marrysa Moyer led Lock Haven with 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. Sami Lane scored a game-high 14 points while Shayla Lee added 10 points off the bench.

Lock Haven held a 44-35 rebounding advantage in the game and forced 14 of the Mountaineer's 21 turnovers.

Mansfield gets a 10-day break before hitting the road to play at IUP and Seton Hill on Dec. 16 and 17.
