MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Lucky Jones and Rodney Pryor each scored 20 points to lead Division I Robert Morris past visiting Mansfield 75-49 Tuesday night at the Sewall Center.

Charles Pemberton recorded a team-high 13 points for the Mounties and pulled down seven boards.
Thomas Moore chipped in 10 points and recorded a game-high six assists.

Joe Bell added eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Mansfield won the opening tip before Bell quickly scored the game's first points, but Robert Morris connected on three straight trifectas to take an early 9-2 lead. The Mountaineers managed to close within one point of RMU at 10-9 and kept it a one-possession game for the early part of the half.

The Colonials used a 10-0 run capped by a Pryor trey to jump out to a double-digit advantage.

Kamil Parzych hit the front end of a one-and-one with under four minutes to play in the half to dip the Mounties deficit into single digits, but Robert Morris closed out the half on a 8-2 run to take a 39-24 lead into the break.

Seven of Robert Morris' 14 first-half field goals came from beyond the arc.

The Mounties would look to make it a ballgame in the second half using a 12-3 run to close within six points with 15 minutes to play in the game. However, RMU scored 11 unanswered to jump out to its biggest lead of the game at 58-39 with just over nine minutes to play.

Mansfield would pull no closer as it dropped the exhibition contest.

The Colonials capitalized on Mansfield's mistakes, scoring 29 points off turnovers in the game. Robert Morris held a slight 38-37 rebounding advantage in the contest.

Mansfield shot just 35.3% from the field while RMU was 44.4% including 42.9% from 3-point.

Mansfield travels to St. Bonaventure on Saturday for its third and final exhibition game of the preseason.
