LOCK HAVEN – Jena Matter and Alyssa DeRichie each notched double-doubles, but a poor night of shooting from the floor by the Mountaineers allowed Lock Haven to come away with a 56-43 PSAC eastern division victory Wednesday night at Thomas Field House.

Matter connected on eight field goals and a pair of free throws to score a game-high 18 points and 11 boards. It marked Matter's sixth double-double performance of the season.

DeRichie picked up her second career double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.

Lock Haven's (3-12, 1-4 PSAC East) Marrysa Moyer scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win. Emily Daugherty was the second Lady Eagle in double-figure scoring with 10 points.

Mansfield (0-16, 0-6 PSAC East) shot just 27.6% (8-29) from the floor compared to Lock Haven's 44.8% (13-29). The Mountaineers held a 49-46 rebounding advantage in the game.

The first half saw four lead changes before Lock Haven went on an 8-1 run over the final minute of the half to take a 32-25 lead into the break.

In the second half, Mansfield pulled within six points two different times but couldn't overcome the Bald Eagles lead.

The Mountaineers host Shippensburg at First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium on Saturday.
