FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: No. 2 Millersville Runs Past Mansfield 4-0

MANSFIELD – No. 2 Millersville rolled past visiting Mansfield 4-0 Saturday afternoon as the Mountaineers struggled to get much going offensively.
Undefeated Millersville (7-0, 2-0 PSAC) totaled 37 shots in the game with four different players scoring goals.

Mansfield (3-5, 0-2 PSAC) held the nationally-ranked program scoreless over the first 30 minutes of the game as the Marauders failed to score until the 33^rd and 34^th minutes. Champayne Hess and Lauren Gerhart each recorded their third goals of the season with the first-half scores.

Millersville opened the second half with a quick goal in the 37^th minute by Kayrelyn Zapp before Samantha Ruane scored the last in the 50^th minute.
Rachel Dickinson was credited with assists on the scores by Gerhart and Zapp.

Lacey Croasdale recorded a shot on goal for the Mountaineers with Taryn Schawillie adding a shot.

Keeper Kristie Rollman made 14 stops for Mansfield in the game.

The Mountaineers return home to play Bloomsburg under the lights on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 6:30 p.m. as part of Mansfield's homecoming celebration.
