Mansfield Falls on the Road to Millersville 66-45

MILLERSVILLE – Mallory Moore scored a team-high 10 points as Mansfield shot an ice-cold 30.5% from the field while Millersville used a three-headed scoring attack to come away with a 66-45 decision over the Mountaineers Saturday afternoon at Pucillo Gymnasium.
 
The Mountaineers grabbed their first lead of the contest on a Meredith Hafer lay-up with 9:50 remaining in the first half. However, Millersville used a 12-0 run over the next two-and-a-half minutes to hold a 10-point lead.
 
Millersville went into the break with a 25-14 advantage over a Mountaineer squad that shot just 24.1% from the floor in the half.
 
In the second half, Mansfield's offensive woes continued as the Marauders continued to build their lead. Senior Monique Webley was an offensive spark for the Mountaineers though, scoring all nine of her points in the second half.
 
Millersville would not relent their lead as they went on to pick up their 16th win on the season.
 
Along with her 10 points, Moore recorded a team-high seven rebounds and three steals.
 
Junior Julia Stevenson chipped-in six points while Marrysa Moyer, Meredith Hafer, and Emma Lacey each posted four points.
 
Millersville's Sophia Waters came off the bench to score a game-high 11 points while Aurielle Moseley and Carly Gallagher each added 10 points apiece.
 
Mansfield is back in action Wednesday night at Kutztown.
