MANSFIELD –
Mallory Moore recorded her sixth double-double of the season with a game-high 25 points and Mansfield overcame a first-half deficit to defeat winless Cheyney 69-59 at Decker Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. Nadirah Brown led the Wolves in scoring with her 25 points.

Meredith Hafer hit a lay-up and nailed a 3-point field goal to put Mansfield (9-13, 6-12 PSAC) up five points in the first two minute of the game. However, a win hungry Cheyney (0-22, 0-18 PSAC) promptly went on a 17-6 run over the next six minutes to lead by nine.
The Mountaineers slowly chipped away at the Wolves lead over the final nine minute of the half, finding themselves down by a single point courtesy of two good
Jena Matter free throws. Matter would go on to finish the game with 18 points and four boards.
The two teams traded 3-point baskets in the final 20 second of the half as Cheyney took a 32-31 lead into the break.
In the opening minute of the second half, Moore completed a three-point play to give Mansfield the lead. Moore hit 58.8% of her field goals on the night in her 25-point effort while adding 13 boards, three assists, and two blocks. The senior played all 40 minutes of the contest.
After regaining the lead, the Mountaineers continued to create scoring opportunities against the porous Wolves defense, finding themselves up 15 on two made free throws by
Morgan Hafer with 4:22 remaining in the contest. The Hafer twins combined to score nine points in the winning effort.

Monique Webley each scored five points apiece for the Mounties.
Cheyney threatened late by cutting the Mountie lead down to just nine points, but Mansfield prevailed to pick-up their 9
th win of the season and 6
th in PSAC play.
The Wolves struggled from the floor, shooting just 35.5% from the field as opposed to Mansfield's 45.1%.
Brown had a game-high 15 rebounds for Cheyney while freshman Aerie DeJesus added 13 points, six assists, and four steals.
Mansfield completes their three-game home stand when it hosts Bloomsburg University Wednesday, February 15
