MANSFIELD – The Mountaineer women face a challenging road trip when they take on California (Pa.) and No. 15 IUP in PSAC crossover action on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mansfield is 3-3 after having a two-game winning streak broken on the road at West Chester in a 72-57 decision. Cal is 5-1 on the year with its lone loss coming at the hands of two-time defending PSAC Champs Edinboro while nationally-ranked IUP holds a 6-1 record with a loss to No. 8 Gannon.
The Mountaineers are led by senior
Kayla Espigh who's averaging 12.2 points and outing and ranks fifth in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage at 41.2%. Freshman
Katie Fitzpatrick, junior
Jena Matter and senior
Julia Stevenson are all averaging 10.8 points a game for Mansfield. Fitzpatrick leads Mansfield in rebounding (7.7), assists (19) and steals (13).
