MANSFIELD – Marrysa Moyer earned the fourth double-double of her career and Mallory Moore scored a game-high 18 points but it wouldn't be enough as Mansfield (5-9, 2-8 PSAC) fell to visiting Shippensburg (7-7, 4-6 PSAC) in PSAC East play Saturday afternoon.

After three lead changes, the Mountaineers found themselves trailing by five points with 12:25 remaining in the first half. However a Moyer lay-up capped a 14-4 run by Mansfield to lead by five with 6:29 remaining in the half.

Shippensburg answered back with 14-6 run of their own to close out the half with a 31-28 advantage over the Mountaineers.

Coming out of the break, the Lady Raiders continued to roll as they built a 14-point lead over the next 10 minutes. Mansfield closed within eight points of Shippensburg, but cold shooting cost the Mounties their second straight PSAC East win as the Raiders came away with a 64-51 road victory.

Mansfield shot a season-low 27% from the field including 17.2% in the second half.

Despite their scoring woes from the floor, the Mounties shot a perfect 14 of 14 from the free throw line. Mansfield's last 100% free throw performance came on Jan. 19, 2011 when the Mounties went 19 of 19 in a 74-62 victory over East Stroudsburg.

Moore, who went 10 of 10 from the line, scored a game-high 18 points while recording nine rebounds. The senior also had six steals and four assists in the contest.

Moore currently sits at 1,309 career points and is just 70 away from passing Paula Olesky (1983-86) for second in program scoring history.

Moyer showed her range, knocking down two 3-pointers for a total of 12 points. The 6-foot freshman also brought down 12 rebounds and recorded three steals. Moyer scored in double-figures for the fifth time this season while recording her fourth double-double of her young career.

Jena Matter and Julia Stevenson each chipped in eight points for the Mounties.

Shippensburg's Monae Baker led three players in double-figures with 13. Dana Wert and Caitlin Bamberger each added 10 points in the winning effort.

Mansfield travels to Bloomsburg University on Wednesday, Jan. 18 for a PSAC East match-up.
