MANSFIELD – Jeremy Gigliotti threw a no-hitter in the opener and Andy Noga fired a five-hit complete game in the nightcap to lead East Stroudsburg to a 2-0, 7-1 sweep over Mansfield in the final games of the PSAC regular season at Shaute Field Monday afternoon.

The wins elevated East Stroudsburg into upcoming PSAC playoffs while eliminating Mansfield.

In the opener, Gigliotti and Mansfield ace Eric Rosenberger resumed their pitching duel after Rosenberger came out on top in a 2-1 win over Gigliotti earlier in the season.

Gigliotti took the first two Mansfield batters to full counts, striking out lead-off hitter Seth Tressler and walking Dylan Woodworth, but later picked off Woodworth at first a batter to get out of the inning.

The Warriors' ace also walked catcher Glen Jenkins. Jenkins reached second on a ground out that would prove to be the furthest advance for a Mountaineer runner in the game.

The closest Mansfield got to base hits were a hard-hit ball to center by Kevin Miller in the fourth and Levi Weiskopff's slow ground in the in the sixth that just beat the tag.

East Stroudsburg got both runs in the fourth when Brian Ernst lead off the inning with a double down the right field line and Knott and Bahnick walked to load the bases with no outs. Nico Delerme then drove in the first run on a sacrifice fly to center followed by a sac fly to left by Ryan Guarino for the second run.

Gigliotti struck out 10 batters and walked two while Rosenberger scattered four hits and struck out one in the final collegiate game of his career.

Rosenberger ends his career at Mansfield as one of the most effective pitchers in Mountaineer history. Rosie's 21 career wins ties Dave Shephard for 7th most all-time, his 17 complete games ties Greg Martin for 3rd all-time, and his 224.3 innings of work is the 6th most of any Mountaineer.

In the nightcap, East Stroudsburg scored three runs in the top of the third while adding solo runs in the fourth and fifth with two more in the seventh.

Mansfield scored its only run of the day in the bottom of the fifth when Jon Moser and Ernie Ruch were each hit by a pitch and Moser later scored on a throwing error.

Mike Martin started and went four innings to take the loss for Mansfield.

Noga scattered four hits and struck out four while walking none while Ryan Guarino went 3-3 for East Stroudsburg.

It marks the first time in three years Mansfield has failed to advance to the PSAC playoffs.
