Mallory Moore led all scorers with 19 points but it wouldn't be enough to overcome a visiting Shippensburg University on Senior Day at Decker Gymnasium.

In the first half, Shippensburg climbed to an eight point lead with 12:11 remaining, but a 9-2 run by the Mountaineers made it a one-point ball game with 4:36 remaining in the half. Mansfield went into halftime trailing the Red Raiders by six with a score of 30-26.

Shippensburg increased its lead to 15 points on a Dana Wert 3 point bucket at the 9:23 mark in the second half. Mansfield refused to go away as it used a 15-4 run over the next five minute to pull within four points of Shippensburg. The Mountaineers would fall short and lose to a final score of 65-56.

Junior Mallory Moore had a game high 19 points on the dayincluding 3-6 from behind the arc. Moore added seven rebounds and four assists. With her 19 points, Moore has scored 1,032 in her career at Mansfield and ranks 12th all-time in the history of the women's program.

Julia Stevenson recorded eight points and brought down six rebounds. Senior Nicole Pender added seven points and dished out four assists.

Four Shippensburg women scored in double digits with Kasey Gardner leading the Red Raiders with 15 points and nine rebounds. Caitlin Bamberger recorded the only double-double on the day with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Mansfield is back in action Wednesday night at Decker Gymnasium when they take on Kutztown at 5:30 pm.
