Box Score

HOUGHTON, NY – Junior forward, Julia Stevenson, netted a career-high 24 points while senior Mallory Moore added 20 points to guide Mansfield (1-2, 0-2 PSAC) to an 82-61 victory on the road over undefeated Houghton College (4-1).

Mansfield's 82 points marks the highest point total for the Mounties since an 83-74 win over Lock Haven on Dec. 1, 2010.

With her 20 points tonight, Moore moves past Lynelle Moseley (2000-2003) for 8th all-time in Mansfield women's basketball scoring. Sitting at 1,117 career points, Moore is just two points shy of passing Glenda Oswald (1989-92) for 7th in all-time scoring.

Stevenson, who's previous career-high came in a 17-point effort against West Chester last season, led Mansfield in rebounding with 11 and was one of two Mountaineers to pick-up double-doubles on the night. Freshman Marrysa Moyer earned her first career double-double, scoring 13 points while pulling down 10 rebounds.

Kayla Espigh came off the bench to put-up 14 points on the Highlanders. The junior shot 60% from the field, knocking down two three-pointers in the winning effort. Senior Morgan Hafer was efficient in creating offensive production, dishing out six assists.

Houghton's Megan Sampson led the way for the Highlanders, scoring 23 points off the bench.
