FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tutorow's goal in second overtime lifts Mansfield to 3-2 win over IUP 

MANSFIELD – Kristy Tutorow scored the game-winning goal with early in the second overtime to lift Mansfield to a 3-2 win over IUP in the PSAC West season opener for both teams Tuesday afternoon at Spaulding Field. 

Tutorow, who earlier scored a goal 20 minutes into the second half to send the game into overtime, tipped in a hard shot from the top of the circle by freshman Kylie Davis off a penalty corner ending the almost 86 minute long game. 

Mansfield scored the game's first goal when sophomore Jillian Richards scored her second goal of the season off a penalty shot lifting the ball into the upper right-hand corner of the next to give Mansfield a 1-0 advantage at halftime. 

IUP took the lead on two back-to-back goals over a two minute span 10 minutes into the second half. Jullian Duld scored the Crimson Hawks first goal in the 44th minute on a hard shot 10 yards out and Anouk Sickman scored just over two minutes later. 

Tutorow tied the game in the 54th minute when she tucked the ball past the goal in the midst of a scrum in front of the net and Mansfield goalie Jamie Twist had a number of nice stops on hard shots late into the game for Mansfield. 

IUP held a 20-16 shot advantage but Mansfield had 16 corners to IUP 10. Twist recorded 11 saves in goal for Mansfield while IUP's Lydia Dolly was credited with 10 saves. 

It marked the first home game of the season for the Mountaineers who played their first five games of the year on the road. It also snapped an eight game losing streak to IUP dating back to the first game of the 2006 season. 

Mansfield improves to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC West. The Mountaineers host No. 4 ranked East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
