Davis '96 enters his fourth season as the assistant coach of the Mansfield women's basketball program.

In 2023-24, the Mounties earned their first postseason bid since 2017-18 en route to an 11 win season, their most since the 2006-07 season. The team started 4-1, their best start since the 2010-11 season, eight double digit victories, and seven home victories. Mansfield earned their largest win in program history against Penn State Schuylkill by 70 points. Defeating #21 Cal (PA), coach Senefelder upset her first ranked team in a 65-54 victory. 

Jasmine Hilton was named to her second All-PSAC First Team after her sensational senior year, leading the team with 15.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. The forward finished her career third all time in points and fourth in rebounds in program history. 

In the 2022-23 season, Jasmine Hilton earned her first All-PSAC First Team nod after an incredible season, averaging 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and had 49 steals. 

Davis rejoined the staff before the 2022-23 season, after his first season as the assistant in 2018-19.

Coach Davis comes to Mansfield University after serving as head coach of the girls’ basketball program at Wellsboro High School since 2013.  During the 2015 season, he guided the Hornets to the District IV Championship finals and the PIAA State Tournament. In 2017, the Hornets won the NTL League Championship, and Coach Davis was named the NTL Coach of the Year.

Davis has been a middle and high school educator for over 25 years and has been training athletes at three different levels for over 17 years.

Coach Davis attended Mansfield University earning a B.S.E. degree in Physics in 1996 and a masters of education in 2010.
