Bridget Paluga enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Mansfield women's basketball program.
The Yardley, Pa. native joins the Mountaineers after serving as the top assistant coach at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey for the past 3 seasons. During her tenure with the Ducks, Paluga helped guide the team to a conference title, a berth to the NCAA's, and two ECAC conference tournament appearances.
Prior to Stevens, Paluga served as a graduate assistant for Gallaudet University in Washington DC. Under head coach Kevin Cook, Paluga aided in the success of the program as well as helped with the development of Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) honorable mention All-American and 2009-10 Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She was also responsible for the team's preseason and summer strength and conditioning programs as well as assisting the head coach in developing offensive and defensive plays.
During her playing career, Paluga enjoyed a decorated 4 years as a member of the Elmira College women's basketball team. One of the team's tri-captains during the 2007-08 season, Paluga – a three-time All-Empire 8 conference honoree – wrapped up her career ranked in the top-5 of the Soaring Eagles' career rebounds list and the top-10 of the program's career assists charts.
A 2008 graduate of Elmira with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Paluga received her Master's degree in Supervision and Administration from Gallaudet in 2010.
