Seth Turner

Seth Turner joined the men's basketball program as an assistant coach prior to the start of the 2018-19 season.

Turner comes to Mansfield from NCAA Division I UNC Wilmington where he played under head coach Kevin Keatts and later served as a student assistant coach with the Seahawks men’s basketball program under head coach C.B. McGrath. At UNC Wilmington, Turner helped the Seahawks complete a back-to-back title run to win the CAA tournament. Turner was part of the 2016-17 UNC Wilmington team that finished 29-6 overall and won the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. As a No. 12 seed, the Seahawks almost pulled off a first round upset of No. 5 Virginia, being edged 76-71.
 
As a student assistant at UNC Wilmington, Turner was responsible for skill development, scouting, game preparation, film breakdown, and social media. He worked very closely with the Director of Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator.
 
He also served as assistant director of men’s basketball camps at UNC Wilmington for two years. Turner was an intricate piece in developing the camps numbers. Also introducing the first post-game clinic, where kids under the age of 12 could attend a free clinic for attending a game.

 Turner has worked numerous camp over his years including UNC Wilmington (Wilmington, NC) North Carolina State University (Raliegh, NC), Philadelphia 76’ers (Philadelphia, PA), Waverly (Waverly, NY), and Johnston County (Smithfield, NC).

 He graduated from UNC Wilmington with a degree in sociology in May of 2018.
