Da'Quan Jones returned to his alma mater to join the men's basketball coaching staff prior to the start of the 2017-18 season.
Jones was a three-year member of the Mansfield University men's basketball program where he appeared in 71 games with 36 starts. The Philadelphia native totaled 431 points over his career to average 6.1 points a game. He also averaged 3.3 rebounds an outing as a guard.

Jones was a member of the 2016-17 team that won 11 games and made headlines with a 79-74 win over Division I Duquesne University in an exhibition game.

Jones graduated in May of 2017 with a degree in criminal justice administration.
