MANSFIELD, Pa.- Peter McCarty Named Assistant Track and Field Coach specializing in throws, head coach Nick Mattis announced on Thursday, March 26.
 
"We are excited to have Peter join us as our new throwing coach." Mattis stated.  "He brings both collegiate and high school coaching experience and is very enthusiastic about building a top-level throws program here at Mansfield."
 
McCarty joins the Mountaineers after two years at Corning-Painted Post High School. During his time there, his athletes set five school records, eight sectional champions, and eight state qualifiers as well as a national qualifier.
 
McCarty also had stints with Williamsville Central Schools, Horseheads Highschool and was a coaching intern with SUNY Oneonta. McCarty also served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at SUNY Brockport.
 
McCarty also is a Doctor of Chiropractic he earned from D'Youville University. He has an undergrad degree from SUNY Brockport.
