Program Top 10 list Rewritten in Outdoor Opener

The Mansfield men’s track and field team competed on Saturday.

Shippensburg, Pa. - The Mansfield University men's track and field team competed on March 21st, at the Keystone Challenge hosted by Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, Pa.

Cahsid Raymond opened the day for with a win in the 200 meter-dash with 21.57. He also showed promise took at long jump placing fourth with  7.07 meters, both of which are PSAC qualifying marks. 

Marcus Quaker placed fourth with a mark of 56.98 meters in javelin, which is also a qualifying mark, a personal best and the seventh best throw in program history.

 Calvin Cragle earned his ticket to conference in shot put after a 14.92 meter throw. He now sits at fourth in program history and took sixth in competition. 

Dorrian McCargo led in the 100 meter dash placing 7th with 11.33.

Connor Trimber took on javelin for the first time throwing 35.35 meters finishing 15th. 

Pius Adomako Jr. finished at the top for Mansfield in the 400 meter with a time of 52.09 and Ibrahim Sheriff followed with 54.66.

Nic Mattison competed in the 800 meter, where he took tenth at 2:06.78.

A crew of Mounties took on the 1500 meter with Mattison (4:33.25), Rylan Ebner (4:36.56) and Greysen Kupsky ( 4:50.32) in the running.

Noah Shedden record a time of 16:06.64 placing eighth in the 5000 meters. 

Ebner led the final trio in ninth (17:44.48) and Derek Simpson in tenth (18:14.09) and Kupsky 11th (18.32.45).

Dominic Bill placed ninth in finals and the school record books in long jump with a best of 6.22 meters. Joseph Frye and Joshua Culver found top marks of 5.86 meters and 5.76 meters.

Jerry Holmes Jr. performed strong in high jump with placing 6th with a jump of 1.90 meters.

Ajani Gibson placed seventh in triple jump with 12.38 meters. He was accompanied by Trimber placed eighth with 11.96 meters and the ninth best mark in program history.

Cragle was joined by Joey Biviano (11.93 meters) who earned eighth best in program school records and Quaker (10.47 meters) in the shot put.

The three also competed in discus  with Cragle earning sixth best in program history with 37.33 meters, Biviano 34.88 meters and Quaker 34.40 meters. 

Khyre Inman debuted in hammer, where he put up a mark of 36.77 meters, which is fourth best in program history. Cragle sits at fifth with 34.23 meters and Biviano at sixth with28.39 meters.

The Mounties had multiple teams in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the Team A consisting of Lovett Davenport, McCargo, Adomako Jr., and Raymond who placed second overall with a time of 42.68.

Team B (Frye, Bill, Culver and Posey III) finished third (44.60) and Team C (Kasili, Green Jr., Gibson and Holmes Jr.) finished fourth with 45.51.

To round out the day the quartet of Adomako Jr., Gibson ,Sheriff and Mattison placed second in  the 4 x 400 meter relay with 3:36.54.

The Mountaineers are scheduled to compete in the Jim Taylor Duals on Friday and Saturday, March 27th and 28th, hosted by Susquehanna University, in Selinsgrove, Pa.
