MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers men's basketball team competed on February 4, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action against Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles secured the win, with a final score of 103-86.
Sterling Scott led the Mountaineers with 20 points and 7 rebounds.
Darrien Berrios Rivera collected a total of 18 points and Juju Pagan added 15 points.
Rivera put up 10 points within the first 5 minutes of the evening's match, a great start for the Mountie's offensive activity.
Evenly matched, the Mountaineers (2-18, 1-13 PSAC) and Bald Eagles (7-14, 3-11 PSAC) ping-ponged ownership over the lead within the first half of play.
They headed into the locker rooms with Lock Haven at a 49-39 advantage.
The Bald Eagles came into the second half and created a comfortable lead for themselves.
Never losing the fighting spirit, the Mounties gave it their all throughout the half.
Lock Haven walked away with the win with a final score of 103-86.
