Cahsid Raymond Earns UFL Training Camp Invitation from Dallas Renegades

ARLINGTON, Texas-  Cahsid Raymond '26 earned an invitation to training camp with the UFL's Dallas Renegades the league announced on Thursday, Oct. 1.

"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to receive an invitation to UFL training camp. This means a lot to me because it represents the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices I've put into football." Raymond said. "I'm thankful to everyone at Mansfield who has supported me and helped me get to this point. I'm excited for the opportunity to compete, learn, and continue chasing my dream of playing professional football."

"We are extremely proud of Cahsid. He is a standout athlete and deserving of this opportunity," Andrew Petko, Director of Athletics said. "It's a testament to the quality at this level and raises awareness of the Collegiate Sprint Football League."

Raymond would become the first sprint football athlete to play in the UFL. Raymond participated in the UFL Showcase in Washington, D.C. in August.

A two-time CSFL Offensive Player of the Year, Raymond finished his Mansfield career with more than 3,700 passing yards, 2,700 rushing yards and 60 total touchdowns. He also established himself as a standout sprinter, winning the 202 5 PSAC 200-meter championship and earning Co-PSAC Most Valuable Athlete honors. In 2026, he ran a Mansfield-record 20.91 in the 200 meters and set school records in the 60-meter dash and long jump. He was also a member of record-breaking relay teams. Raymond cemented his name throughout multiple top 10 record books, being listed over 100 times.

"When a player like Cashid Raymond is presented to you, you have to recognize that kind of talent," said new Dallas Renegades Head Coach Kevin Sumlin. "This league is all about opportunity, and I'm looking forward to seeing Cashid come into camp. He has the height and speed we are looking for. I'm anxious to see how he competes at this level."
