MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineer Athletic Department have announced their male and female Fall Athletes of the Year for the 2024-25 academic year on Tuesday (Jun. 10) afternoon.
On the women's side, field hockey's
Kenedy Stroup represents with her first Athlete of the Year award, becoming the ninth consecutive campaign that the program has had a seasonal winner. On the men's side, sprint football's
Cahsid Raymond took home his fourth consecutive Athlete of the Year award, becoming the eighth Mountaineer to sweep four awards in their career.
Stroup took the field for her final season as a team captain and did not disappoint. The midfielder was named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) First Team All-American for the first time, along with her first All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) First Team accolade. The senior helped the program reach their first back-to-back postseason berths in school history and remained nationally ranked all season. To finish off her career, the two-time All American inked her name with the fifth most assists in program history.
Raymond finished out his athletic career as a Mountaineer by capping off a historic season as the starting quarterback for the sprint football program. Raymond was unanimously named the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) MVP and was named the Offensive Player of the Year for his second time. As a triple threat, the senior finished his career by stamping his name atop 19 categories in the sprint football program's history, while leading the CSFL in all-purpose yards at 1,159.
