BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's track and field team perform phenomenally at the Maroon and Gold Invite, hosted by Bloomsburg on Friday (Apr. 25).
Alexis McNitt took participated in javelin with
Blaze Wood where McNitt finished second with 28.35 meters which is a personal best and sixth with 21.30 meters.
Minyhah Easterling started the day off for the Mounties with an astonishing mark of 11.50 meters in shot put finishing fourth.
Riley Batdorf joined Easterling collecting a personal record distance of 7.95 meters.
Easterling and Wood competed in discus taking fifth and sixth both with personal bests of 30.93 and 23.07 meters.
Wood took on hammer again gaining a personal best with 24.93 meters placing 13th Batdorf joined the event for the first time in her collegiate career finishing 14th with 24.35 meters.
Marissa Allen,
Carrie Claypool, and
Anissa Lytle raced in the 800-meter finishing first (2:26.62), second (2:30.14) and fifth 3:46.19.
Libby Moore took on the 5000 meter once again and placed 15
th with a time of 24:30.87.
Makayla Robicheaux,
Sandra Lemus and McNitt rounded out the 100 meter closely taking sixth with 13.97, 14.16 in seventh and 14.36 in eighth.
The trio also ran the 200-meter winding up with Robicheaux (sixth – 28.27) and McNitt (10
th – 29.39) with personal records, following was Lemus in 12
th with 29.96.
Madison Ziska ran the open 400 meter taking first place with 1:00.59.
Ziska finished with a mark of 5.02 meters in long jump and Allen 1.36 meters in high jump.
Finalizing the meet was the team of McNitt, Robicheaux, Lemus, and Ziska finishing third with 52.27.
