LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shane Stossel has earned his first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week accolade after an impressive second weekend as a Mountaineer, announced by the conference on Tuesday (Mar. 4) afternoon.

Stossel was a key part in Mansfield's series with Glenville State. On the weekend, the graduate student accumulated a .667 (10-15) batting average, ten hits, two home runs, six RBIs, five runs, three extra-base hits, and only one strikeout at the plate. 

In game four of the series, Stossel went a perfect 5 for 5, with six RBIs and three runs. Two home runs shot bolstered the chance for the Mounties to score 13 runs in the game.

While also pitching four innings and four strikeouts, he allowed just one earned run and two hits in the Mounties game two win.
