BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers softball team continued their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road trip with Bloomsburg (14-6, 4-2 PSAC East) with the Huskies earning the Tuesday (Mar. 25) sweep behind a close 4-3 game one win and a 9-1 game two victory.

GAME 1: Bloomsburg 4 - Mansfield 3

Emma Maurer was responsible for the first run for Mansfield (4-12, 2-6 PSAC East), beginning the game with an RBI single to bring Melissa Demo across home plate.

Bloomsburg responded in the bottom half of the first inning with an RBI double to center field to even up the conference clash, 1-1.

The Huskies added another run off a wild pitch to take the lead after the second inning.

A solo shot and an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth casted as insurance runs to hold the 4-1 advantage before the Mounties' final at-bats.

Kylie Bornman blasted her first home run of the season with a two-run shot to score Liliana Moyer, but the host secured the final out to grab the 4-3 win.

Maurer went a perfect three for three at the plate and scored the other RBI with Bornman earning two RBIs.

GAME 2: Bloomsburg 9 - Mansfield 1 (6 innings)

Bloomsburg used the game one momentum to take control of the doubleheader.

Three runs reached home plate for the Huskies across the first two innings to hold the early edge before increasing their lead to 5-0 by the end of the fifth.
