BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Mansfield Mountaineer women's track and field team competed at the Brockport Multi & Invitational from Friday (Feb. 7) to Saturday. (Feb. 8).
Zalayna Brown opened things on Friday as she competed in the pentathlon. She finished with a total of 2792 points. That is the third best performance in program history.
Brown was consistent in her finishes and marks with her best being third (shot put) and lowest being eighth (high jump).
Madison Ziska finished fourth in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 27.18.
Makayla Robicheaux (19
th, 28.63),
Sandra Lemus (35th, 29.94), and
Alexis McNitt (38th, 30.11) all earned personal bests in this race.
Ziska finished 13
th in the long jump with a mark of 4.94 meters. McNitt landed a mark of 4.04 in the same event.
Brown, Ziska, and Robicheaux were joined by
Marissa Allen in the 4x400 relay where the quartet finished sixth, with a time of 4:28.01.
Allen also earned a personal best in the 1K, finishing 4
th with a time of 3:22.14.
Lemus, Robicheaux, and McNitt also competed in the 60-meter dash finishing with times of 8.68 (16
th), 8.71 (20
th), and 9.05 (25
th) respectively. Lemus setting a new PR with her time.
In the Mile,
Carrie Claypool finished eighth with a time of 5:41.72.
Blaze Wood earned a personal best in the shot put with a mark of 7.11 meters.
