MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield University women's basketball team competed in their final game of conference play of 2025 on Sunday, Dec. 21, against California (PA), With winning team taking the game with a score of 83-62.
Delilah Nazih lead with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Katie Sheeler added 16 points and two rebounds on the afternoon.
Cal (7–7, 3-1 PSAC) opened up the first quarter strong scoring the opening points of the game leading into the second quarter with a score of 21-12.Â
Cal continued the pressure in the second quarter maintaining their lead of 40-25Â into half.
Each team came out of the half exchanging points with California (Pa.) taking the momentum.
Mansfield (2–9, 0-4 PSAC) late in the third went on a 15-6 run to diminish the lead previous to nine.
The turnovers in the third half presented as a down fall for the Mounties.
Sheeler led the way for the Mounties with six points in the third quarter.
The Mounties were unable to keep the pressure and California (Pa.) finished the game strong to take the win 83-62.
