STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-Â The Mansfield Mountaineers women's track and field team opened up the indoor season competing in the STAC Spartan Classic, held at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility, on Friday Jan. 10.

Angie Colon took the victory in the 1600-meter racewalk finishing with a time of 7:21.99.

In the 4x200-meter relay event,
Zalayna Brown,
Makayla Robicheaux,
Alexis McNitt &
Madison Ziska finished ninth with a team time of 1:56.30

Robicheaux,
Sandra Lemus, and McNitt competed in their first collegiate 60-meter dash as well finishing with times of 8.60, 8.99, and 9.25 seconds respectively.Â

Brown also ran in the 60-meter hurdles finishing 30
th with a time of 10.98.Â

Ziska finished 21
st in the long jump with a mark of 4.73 meters.Â

Marissa Allen hit 500m dash time of 1:29.82 (31
st).

In the distance races,
Carrie Claypool had a 25
th place finish in the Mile run, clocking in at 5:50.07.

Anissa Lytle finished 11
th in the 1000 meters with a time if 3:56.05

Libby Moore opened her college track career clocking a 3:22.42 800-meter ren time.Â

Blaze Wood hit a mark of 7.62 meters in the weight throw. She also had a mark of 6.58 meters in the shot put.

Colon, Ziska, Allen and Claypool competed in the distance medley relay and finished seventh with a time of 14:02.72.Â

The Mounties are back in action Saturday Jan. 18, as they travel to the River Hawk Invite hosted by Susquehanna University.
