MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mountaineer Athletic department announced the winners of the prestigious Creed Awards at the Mountie Awards ceremony on Sunday (Apr. 28) afternoon.
Creed Award Winners
Started in 2020, the Mansfield athletic department has selected four student-athletes to represent the pillars of the Mansfield creed. The students were nominated by athletic staff members and were chosen by a committee. The four pillars of our creed are service, scholar, character, and culture.
Women's Basketball's
Jasmine Hilton was selected as the student-athlete to represent character, being nominated by women's basketball head coach
Amy Senefelder. Hilton was a well-known face of the Mansfield athletics community and a key leader in the women's basketball program. Hilton earned her third career All-PSAC nod after being named to First Team this season and marks her name high on multiple record boards for the program, including third all-time in career points and fourth in career rebounds.
Women's Basketball's
Alivia Paeglow was honored for the scholarship label after being nominated by women's basketball head coach
Amy Senefelder. During her tenure with the women's basketball program, Paeglow maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while taking 166 credits during her time as a student-athlete. Earning three degrees in early childhood and special education, school psychology and counseling psychology, she also was honored with the labels of a D2 ADA Academic Achievement athlete and a PSAC Scholar-Athlete this past year.
Field Hockey's
Saramae Radel took home the culture title, being nominated by field hockey head coach
Brittany Hansrote. As a three-year captain for the program, Radel truly embodies the culture of Mansfield. Her "maturity and strong leadership skills" enabled her to elevate the field hockey program to their first ever hosted playoff game and victory and served as the student-athletic representative for the Student Government Association.
Sprint Football's
Marvens Ravix was picked for the service award who was nominated by assistant director of athletic communications Owen Newkam-Ulrich. As a standout defensive lineman of the program, Ravix represented himself in multiple organizations. Appointed as the Mansfield student body representative for the Commonwealth Council of Trustees, he was also in the involved with the Army National Guard, the Mansfield Military and veterans' organization, the Black Student Union, and the Future Health Professionals club.
