Mountaineers Lose On the Road at #7 Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's soccer team now stands at 3-5-1 on the season and 2-4-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference following a 2-0 loss at Kutztown on Saturday afternoon.  

Freshman midfielder Katelyn Economopoulus was able to get the Golden Bears on the board in the 28th minute.

Early in the second half, Kutztown was able to get another and extend their lead to 2-0 thanks to sophomore forward Caroline McDonald.

Mansfield had seven corners on the day but were unable to push across a goal.

Sophomore Quelyn Nepa recorded two shots, while junior Danielle Drain got the lone Mountaineer shot on goal.

Mounties goalie Samantha Merklin faced five shots and made three saves.
