MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's soccer team (3-6-1, 2-5-1 PSAC East) lost to East Stroudsburg (8-1-1, 6-1-1 PSAC East) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play by a final score of 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Warriors got on the board thanks to a Natalie Schooley penalty kick in the 16th minute.
The score remained 1-0 until the 78th minute when Natalie Schooley again found the back of the net for East Stroudsburg to increase their lead to 2-0.
Taylar Luckenbill recorded two shots for the Mounties, while Katelyn Rueppel, Kylie Boyer, and Caitlyn Hoppe all tallied one shot.
Sam Kozminski registered the only Mansfield shot on goal.
Goalie Samantha Merklin made six saves on the day, bringing her total to 36 saves on the season.
