BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The
Mansfield Mountaineer women's soccer fought hard in the first but the Huskies proved too much at home, and defeated the Mountaineers 3-0, on Wednesday, Sept. 13
Bloomsburg struck first in the 12th minute to make it a 1-0 game.
The Mountaineer defense did well to hold Bloomsburg there until later in the second half.Â
22 minutes into the second, Bloomsburg was able to get their second of the game past the Mounties to increase the lead to 2-0.Â
The Huskies added a late goal in the 71st minute to make the score 3-0.
Junior Parker Moss tallied the only shot on goal for Mansfield.
Goalkeeper Samantha Merklin made a season-high six saves in the game.
