WILLIAMSBURG, VA-  The Mansfield University men's track and field team closed out the Colonial Relays, hosted by William and Mary with the 10K and 4x400-meter relays on Saturday, April 1.
 
In the 10K, Derek Simpson was the top Mountaineer finisher crossing the line in 21^st with a time of 34:15.00. David Wootten finished 26^th with a time of 34:50.31.
 
The quartet of Jackson Doughty, Sean Ringgold, Roandy Sanchez and Terrance Quaker finished ninth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:21.94. That time was only .83 seconds off the school record.
 
The Mountaineer track and field team is back in action at the Susquehanna Multi & Invitational on Saturday April 8.
