AMBLER, Pa.- Mansfield's defense and
Cahsid Raymond shined as the Mansfield Mountaineers sprint football team (2-2) defeated Chestnut Hill (1-3) 33-7 on the road, on Saturday, Oct. 14.

The Mounties got on the board first in the second quarter when Raymond punched it in from two yards out. A
Nolan Zona extra point made the score 7-0.

Bryce Allen intercepted a pass and returned it 18 yards for the Mounties next score making it 13-0.
Chase Thompson collected his third interception in two weeks to set up a drive before halftime.Â

Raymond showed off his legs at the end of the half with a 44-yard scamper down the left sideline that pushed the score to 19-0 at the break.

The Griffins responded out of the half with an eight play 75-yard drive that ended with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Cancell to Nick Ocampo.Â

The Mountaineers took great field position and turned it into a 13 yard strike from Raymond to
LaTrenton Randle to raise the score to 26-7.

Gage Aumick collected the Mounties third interception of the day on the ensuing possession that lead to a
Terrance Quaker one yard dash around the left edge to leave the score 33-7.

Mansfield's defense collected one more turnover on a
Christopher Savko fumble recovery, and Mansfield took the contest 33-7.

Raymond rushed for 105 on 19 carries and two scores, and was 8-18 for 64 yards and a touchdown. The 18 pass attempts puts him tied with Mike Maniscalco for the Mansfield sprint football career record (456).Â

Quaker had 95 yards on 17 attempts and a score.
Mark Mathis III rushed for 69 yards on 12 carries. Randle was the leading receiver with four receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.Â

Antonio Green led the Mountaineers in tackles with five.Â

The Mounties dominated time of possession having the ball for 40:11.Â
