EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Mansfield University men's basketball team dropped a road Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to East Stroudsburg University, 85-50, on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 7.
Michael Dickson had another strong showing off the bench for the Mounties, finishing with a team-high 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting.
Aaron Satin added a career-high nine points, knocking down three shots from deep and
Saraj Ali led MU with six rebounds.
The Mounties couldn't overcome a slow shooting night, as they finished 30 percent (20-of-66) from the floor, compared to the Warriors, who shot 55 percent (34-of-62), while knocking down two more 3-pointers and five more free throws than MU.
The Warriors led from start to finish, winning the battle on the glass, 48-33, and leading in bench points (48-31) and fast break points (19-15).
For ESU, Carlos Pepin scored a team-high 18 points, while Lakeem McAliley and Mike Millsip poured in 13 and 10, respectively.
The Mounties return home on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. for a Commonwealth University showdown against the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven inside Decker Gymnasium.
