MANSFIELD, Pa. - Jamal Johnson, the head Mansfield University men's and women's track and field coach for the past two seasons, has announced his resignation.

Johnson was named the head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach at Seton Hill University.

"Coach Johnson has made an indelible mark on the Mansfield University track and field program," Director of Athletics
Peggy Carl said. "A plethora of school records have fallen during his short tenure and a handful of student-athletes achieved All-PSAC status under his leadership. We wish him all the very best."

Under the leadership of Johnson, the Mountaineers had an All-American, two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)Â Champions, two PSAC Runner-ups, eight broken records and 24 program top-ten times/marks.
The 2021-22 season saw 12 podium finishes through the Indoor and Outdoor PSAC Championships, while finishing with their highest team finish (seventh) after scoring 37 points at the outdoor event.
