MANSFIELD, Pa.- Senior
Carly Daniels took first place to highlight the Mansfield University men's and women's cross country team, who hosted the Ed Winrow Memorial Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8 as part of Senior Day at Lamb's Creek Cross Country Course.
Daniels (New Cumberland, Pa./ Cedar Cliff) finished the 6K race in a time of 22:44.6. Her time was 18 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Senior
Bailey Morgan (Windsor , N.Y. / Windsor) was the second Mansfield finisher crossing the line in 24:22.9 for 14
th place. Junior
Anna Duncan (Harrisburg, Pa./ Lower Dauphin) finished 23
rd with a time of 245.51.1. Sophomore
Angie Colon (Farmingville, N.Y./ Sachem East) (24.59.9; 26
th) and Senior
Shelby Alexander (Liberty, Pa./ North Penn-Liberty) (25:05.5 28
th) rounded out the top five for the women's team.
The Women's team finished third overall at the meet amassing a 90 score.
Carri Claypool (Sayre Pa./ Sayre) (45

th, 29:01.3) rounded out the finishers for the women.
On the men's side,
David Wootten (Georgetown, Del./ Sussex Central) was the top team finisher for the 8K race finishing 20
th with a time of 26:32.8.

Before the race, the Mansfield University Athletic Department and head coach
Mike Rohl honored, Alexander, Daniels, Tanner, Morgan, and
Michael Grundon (Camp Hill, Pa. Cedarcliff) for senior day.
The Mountaineers next race will be Friday Oct. 21 as they travel to Bucknell for the Bucknell Tune Up.
