MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mansfield University women's soccer team (2-11-2, 0-11-2 PSAC East) fell to Kutztown University (8-3-3, 7-3-3 PSAC East), 4-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match on Saturday night, Oct. 15 at Karl Van Norman Field.

KU built a 2-0 lead in the first half, scoring in the 11
th and 41
st minute, with both goals coming off rebounded shot attempts. Isabella Rosetti and Allie Tierney scored for KU, thanks to a pair of helpers from Kayla Argen.

The Golden Bears matched that effort in the second half, scoring two more goals to round out the scoring. Argen had a foot in all four goals for KU, adding her third assist and a goal in the second half.

Bailey Dockman (Waynesboro, Pa. / Saint Maria Goretti) and
Danielle Drain (Denver, Pa. / Cocalico) each recorded a shot on goal for the Mounties.

Freshman goalkeeper
Samantha Merklin (Effort, Pa. / Pleasant Valley) made a game-high nine saves.

Emme Wolfel earned the victory in net for the Golden Bears, making four saves.

The Mountaineers host Millersville University on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. at the MU Soccer Field.
