LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sophomore
Aneisa   Dodson led the way for the Mansfield University men's and women's cross country squads at the Lock Haven University Invitational on Saturday morning, Sept. 25.finishing 26th with a 6K time of 22:44.5.

The meet featured Division II schools from across the Atlantic Region and prominent teams from NCAA DII and III.

Dodson continued a breakthrough sophomore campaign with a 26
th place finish out of a field of 249, with a time of 22:44.5. Dodson paced the Mountaineer women's team to an 11
th place finish out of a field of 22.

Junior
Carly Daniels was the next Mountie to finish, placing 69th and finishing with a time of 23:56.7. Junior
Bailey Morgan (24:32.1), freshman
Carri Claypool (24:37.0) and
Angie Colon (25:10.9) and Junior
Shelby Alexander (26:08.2) rounded out the Mountaineer harriers.

For the men, the inexperienced squad registered encouraging times in the 8K race. Freshman
David Wootten was the first Mountie across the line in 27:34.2, while freshmen
Seth Neal came in after him at 29:04.5. Sophomore
Abraham Calderon (29.22.1), senior
Ben Chambers (31:05.3),
freshman Eli Swan (31:09.7), sophomore
Simon Richards (31:19.0), and junior
Michael Grundon (31:37.0) rounded out the performers for the Mountaineers. The team collected 19th place.

The Mounties return to action on Saturday, Oct. 2, as they travel to Salisbury, Md. to compete in the Don Cathcart Invitational.
