SALISBURY, Md. -Â Junior
Carly Daniels finished ninth to lead the Mansfield University cross country teams at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2, part of a day that saw six top-25 finishes.
Daniels finished as the top Mansfield athlete finishing her 6K with a time of 23:38.6. She was joined in the top-25 by
Bailey Morgan in 12th (23:54.8),
Aneisa Dodson in 14th (24:10.8) Angie Colon finishing 15th (24:15.0) and
Carri Claypool in 18th (24:40.1).
Junior
Shelby Alexander (25.32.3) and senior
Rochelle Myers (26:11.0) were the other Mountaineer finishers. The women's team collected a third-place finish.
Freshmen
David Wootten was the other Mountaineer to collect a top-25 finish, crossing the line in 22nd with an 8K time of 28:14.8.
The following Mountaineer harriers finished in a pack, taking 59th through 62nd place, led by senior
Ben Chambers (31:12.9) freshman
Isaac Showers (31:33.00), sophomore
Abraham Calderon (31:39.5) and freshman
Owen Showers (31:40.8). Junior
Michael Grundon was not far behind finishing 64th with a time of 31:55.9, with freshmen
Eli Swan (32:26.3) and sophomore
Simon Richards (32:43.6) finishing out the gauntlet for the Mounties. The men's team collected a seventh-place finish.
The Mountaineers are back in action on Friday, Oct. 15 as they travel to Albany University for the Albany invitational
