MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University women's soccer team welcomes Bloomsburg University to Karl Van Norman Field on Saturday night, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East match.
The Mounties enter the final third of the season, with seven games remaining on the schedule with four coming at home.
AROUND THE PITCH
The Mounties have seen most of their success come at home, notching all of their PSAC standing points in Mansfield. The Mounties tied Millersville and West Chester – who both currently hold spots to make the conference tournament, while defeating non-conference foe Roberts Wesleyan, 2-0.
One of, if not the fastest players on the field each week, freshman
Katelyn Rueppel has been dynamic from the striker position. The rookie has four goals on the season, sitting just outside the top-10 in the PSAC, while firing off a team-high 18 shots.

Emily Smith is second on the team with two goals on the season, while freshman
Kerrah Clymer and sophomore
Taylar Luckenbill have both of the teams assists.
The Mounties fell to the Huskies, 4-0 on the road on Sept. 11 earlier this season. The Huskies scored a pair of goals in each half and secured the shutout to earn the victory. Rueppel fired off the Mounties lone shot and Cameron finished with four saves.
The Mounties will seek to end a 10-game skid against Bloomsburg.

The Huskies are in a tie for second with 22 points in the PSAC East with West Chester University and are currently five points behind Kutztown University, who leads the league with 27 points.
The Huskies are tied for fourth with Kutztown in goals per game average (1.917), lead by a team-high four goals by Natilie Holmes and Paige Harris. Holmes leads the team with 11 points, adding a team-high three assists.
Alexa Ryan has started all 12 games for BU, limiting teams to a total of five goals, making 24 saves and notching seven shutouts. Ryan is allowing an impressive .404 goals per game in 1113:11 minutes, while her seven shutouts top the conference leader board.

Deliere and Mountie defense hold Clarion to a 0-0 tie
CLARION, PA – Samantha Deliere recorded seven saves as her and the Mountaineer defense held Clarion to a scoreless game Saturday afternoon.
The Mansfield offense only had two chances to score with both of their shots coming in the first half from Jackie Karlovich and Kariann Breed. The Mountaineers forced Clarion to use over half of their entire roster in hopes of putting a goal up on the board with using only their 11 starters. Clarion had eight substitutions come into the game out of their roster of 28.
