EDINBORO Pa.- Freshman Christian Tanner earned All-PSAC Honors in the mile finishing third, and freshman Madison Fox found the podium finishing eight in the high jump to highlight the final day of the PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Tanner used a strong kick on the final two laps to move up several spots and finish in third place, with a PR time of 4:22.99. Tanner was the iron man for the Mountaineers competing in both the 800-meter run and 3K as well, finishing 13th (2:00.86) and 15th(9:28.29) respectively.
Fox was the first Mountie to compete on the day finishing tied eighth and landing on the podium in the High Jump clearing 1.56 meters.
The Mansfield 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Terrance Quaker, Henry Polanco, Caden Fisher,and Mamadue Diallo found the podium finishing eighth with a time of 3:30.12.
Junior Lyndsey Payne competed in the 3K, coming of her top four performance in the 5K the previous night. She crossed the line in an eight second PR, with 10:30.88, which was good for ninth place.
The outdoor track season begins March 21stas the teams travel to the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg Virginia.
