Ryan Clifford clocked the second fastest 5K in program history and the top time in the PSAC with a huge PR Thursday night at the Penn Relays hosted at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

The senior hit a time of 14:38.13 crushing his outdoor PR by over 30 seconds and his indoor PR by 20 seconds. It's the fastest 5K in the PSAC this year by over four seconds and one of only four sub-15 minute marks hit in the conference this season.

The time is second on the program all-time list only to Chris Cumming's 5K of 14:15.6 set in 2008.

Clifford finished 39
that the Penn Relays in a field of over 90 athletes made up of NCAA Division I, II, and III schools along with unattached/club athletes. He was second among Division II athletes in the field.

Clifford also registered the fastest 5K time in the PSAC during the 2018-19 indoor season at 14:58.46.
