LEWISBURG, Pa./DELHI, N.Y. – The Mansfield University track & field teams compiled a strong collective day at the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell University, and the Bronco Classic hosted by SUNY-Delhi.
The day started with senior Olivia Moats setting a new PR in the women's pole vault at 2.63-meters. Moats was followed by Kylah Perez, who opened her outdoor season by also setting a new PR, coming in the women's high jump with a height of 1.35-meters.
Alysa Davey-Bostic would not be outdone, recording a first-place finish in the high jump at 1.55-meters, narrowly missing a PSAC mark.
Ryan Clifford would open the day for Mansfield at the Bison Open, and as per usual, had a stellar performance. The senior compiled a 16th place finish in a field of 61 runners in the men's 3K-steeple. His time of 9:25.03 was good enough for a PSAC mark and a new PR.
Kenzie Jones followed Clifford with an equally impressive performance in the women's 5K. Jones compiled a PSAC mark recording a time of 18:33.09, she was followed by freshman Lyndsey Payne who kicked her way to a new PR at 18:51.44.
Quincy Amabile rounded out the day for the Mounties with a new outdoor PR in the men's 5K at 15:51.85.
Nicholas Auchenbach would wrap up the weekend for Mansfield in the men's 400-meter dash on Sunday afternoon. His time of 55.51 seconds was good enough for a PSAC mark, narrowly missing a NCAA provisional mark and a new PR.
Mansfield will return to action on Saturday, April 20th, as they travel back to the campus of Bucknell to take part in the Bucknell Team Challenge.
