EAST STROUDSBURG –
Garrett Cook hit four 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 16 points, but turnovers proved to be costly for Mansfield in a 93-63 loss at defending PSAC Champion East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors opened the game scoring 11 unanswered points to force a Mansfield timeout.
Taylor Sweeney and
Mike Rell got the scoring started for the Mounties with back-to-back trifectas.

East Stroudsburg quickly built a sizeable lead with the help of its full court pressure, jumping out to a 22-6 advantage. However, 3-pointers by Cook and
Tyler Moffe kick started a 13-0 run by the Mountaineers to pull within three points at 22-19.

Minutes later, another Moffe trifecta brought the ESU lead down to two points at 26-24. The Warriors outscored Mansfield 15-3 over the final seven minutes of the half to take a 39-27 advantage into the break.

The Mounties opened the second half on a 7-1 run to pull within six points for the first of three occasions. However, ESU would outscore Mansfield 43-22 over the final 16 minutes to pull away for the win.

Cook hit four or more 3-pointers for the sixth time this season, going 4-of-6 from deep to pace the Mounties. Moffe recorded 15 points and eight rebounds and Rell matched his season high with 12 points.
Eli Alvin was the fourth Mountie in double-figure scoring with 11 points.

Nick Giordano hit five treys on his way to scoring a game-high 23 points for the Warriors. Josh Williams added 21 points and seven boards.

The Mountaineers were hampered by 29 turnovers with ESU scoring 40 points off giveaways.
