EAST STROUDSBURG – Christie Buyer scored her sixth of the season in a 6-1 setback at No. 2 East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Warriors jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and added another score in the second quarter. One-loss East Stroudsburg (14-1, 7-0 PSAC) added two more goals in the second half.
 
Mansfield (10-4, 4-2 PSAC) got on the board with Buyer's unassisted goal in the final minute of play.
 
The Mounties were just edged out on penalty corners in the game, with ESU leading 7-6.
 
Meghan Griffin had a team-high two shots for Mansfield and Brittany Ryan made nine saves.
 
PSAC leading scorer Celeste Veenstra recorded a pair of goals to lead the Warriors.
 
The Mountaineers travel to Kutztown on Tuesday before hosting Millersville for Senior Day on Saturday.
