KUTZTOWN – No. 10 Mansfield took a 1-0 lead on
Dana Evans' penalty stroke goal, but No. 4 Kutztown rallied back to take a 3-1 win in PSAC play on Wednesday evening.

Both sides earned quality offensive opportunities throughout the first half, but neither team was able to push across a goal. Mansfield (10-5, 4-3 PSAC) drew a penalty corner just before the end of the half, but the shot was turned away as the two nationally-ranked programs entered halftime scoreless.

Midway through the third quarter, the Mounties were denied a goal-scoring opportunity and awarded a penalty stroke. Evans converted the attempt to give Mansfield the 1-0 advantage. The goal was Evans' team-leading 16
thscore of the season.

Alyssa Donato evened the score in the fourth quarter then gave Kutztown (10-4, 5-2 PSAC) a 2-1 lead with a good penalty stroke attempt minutes later. The Golden Bears added another score in the final minute by Mackenzie Fuhrman.

Kutztown led penalty corners 12-7 and shots 13-5. Four of Mansfield's five shots went on frame.

Brittany Ryan made six saves in goal for the Mounties.
