SLIPPERY ROCK, PA - The Mansfield women's soccer team fell to #19 Slippery Rock 6-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest at James Egli Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Mountaineers were able to hold The Rock to a two goal advantage heading into halftime. The first half also saw Mansfield's only shot of the game, as Alexis Bittel fired towards keeper Kylie Downs within three minutes of the opening whistle. However, a four goal second half secured nineteenth-ranked Slippery Rock's third win of the season.
 
In just the second start of her collegiate career, freshman keeper Stephanie Moir logged all 90 minutes in net for the Mounties, while also notching a game-high six saves.
 
Six different players tallied goals for Slippery Rock, and Rachel Edge assisted on three.
 
Mansfield returns to action this Wednesday, September 12^th as they travel to take on East Stroudsburg University. Their next home game is against Seton Hill next Saturday, September 15^th at 1:30pm, as we "Salute The Troops" and also celebrate LUMA: "Light Up Mansfield Again."
