Auchenbach Moves to Fifth in Conference at Bloomsburg Invitational

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Nicholas Auchenbach took first in the men's 400-meter hurdles to move to fifth on the PSAC list at the Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Invitational on Saturday.
 
Auchenbach won with a season-best of 54.32, just a second short of his personal record. Bryce Steiner won his heat in the event as well but came in sixth overall at 58.45 to beat his PR of 59.97.
 
Purity Moenga finished eighth in the women's discus throw with a mark of 31.40m. Moenga also bester herself in the shot put, finishing sixth at 9.35m while Madeline Antonacci went 6.85m for a seventh-place finish. Lauren Blechl and Tierney Belanger finished in eighth and ninth, respectively.
 
Jenny Bellefleur finished third in the women's 100m dash crossing the line at 12.72 before finishing fifth in the women's 200m at 26:05. On the men's side, Eric Evans raced the 100m finishing sixth in 11.65.
 
Alexis Bittel landed herself in 10th place in the long jump with a distance of 4.54m. She also took first in the two-man field in the triple jump with a distance of 10.29 and a new career best.
 
Quanda Williams ran in the 400m dash punching in at 1:01.6 good for 10th place and a new outdoor personal record.
 
The Mountaineers were represented in the women's 4x100m by Charlsie Bowen, Alexia Presley, Margot Springsteen, and Williams, who finished fourth in 52.25. This was Mansfield's best time in the event this season.
 
Four Mounties also competed in the 4x400m with Tierney Belanger, Lauren Blechl, Charlsie Bowen, and Wendy Neville finishing fourth in 5:00.16.
 
Ryan Clifford and Jordan Holmes finished the men's 1,500m in sixth and eighth with respective marks of 4.14.50 and 4.18.18. Lyndsey Payne led the women in their 1,500m in third at 5:00.39 while Sara Clauto and Janelle Peachy finished in fifth (5:18.83) and sixth (5:19.32).
 
Tyler Olrogg found 11th in the men's 800m with a career best of 2:01.02. Kenzie Jones took ninth in the women's 800m with a mark of 2:27.08.
 
Quincy Amabile also competed in his first 3,000m steeplechase for a time of 10:03.22.
