MANSFIELD –
Taylor Chidester and
Joelle Snyder each hit their first home runs of the season in a PSAC crossover sweep of East Stroudsburg at Lutes Field on Tuesday.

Mansfield (10-13, 6-10 PSAC Central) cruised to a 6-1 win in the opener before taking the nightcap 8-6.

In game one,
Koryn Wickwire opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, driving in a run before
Rachael Sterner singled to left to score another run. Wickwire came home on the next play before Taylor Chidestor singled up the middle to plate two more runs and give the Mounties an early 5-0 lead.

After East Stroudsburg (11-25, 3-9 PSAC East) got one back in the second with a Rachael Grabowski homerun, both teams went scoreless in their next at bats.

Chidester added the final run with a bang, smacking a homerun past left center field. The senior was very productive with a perfect game going 3-3 with three RBIs and a run of her own.

Arianna Young earned her 18
th complete-game victory leaving her one full-game win from tying Lindsey Dempsey for 10
th on the Mansfield record books. Young scattered five hits and allowed just one earned run in the complete game of work.

ESU got two hits off in the first inning but neither team would score until the Warriors plated two runs on three hits in the third inning.
Â
Mansfield immediately countered ESU's offense and took advantage of their opponent's errors.
Melanie Taylor and
Devin Jones each singled before
Joelle Snyder tripled to left center to bring in two more runs.
Alli McGovern backed her up with a rare display of a double of a bunt. In a one-out situation, Snyder and McGovern scored on the next two plays.

The Warriors were unable to conjure up a response before the Mountaineers hammered out four more runs in the fourth frame. Taylor opened up with her eighth double of the year before scoring on
Leah McGovern's sacrifice fly two plays later.

After a day consisting of three deep balls near the warning track, Snyder was finally able to tab her first collegiate homerun past right field.
Alli McGovern worked her way to second, and finally home as Wickwire punched in her first homerun of her senior season, jumping out to an 8-2 lead in the fourth.

East Stroudsburg went down fighting, scoring an unforeseen four runs in the top of the sixth, were unable to comeback from the 8-2 deficit.

Snyder went 2-3 at bat including a homerun and a triple while driving in three runs alongside two of her own. Wickwire was responsible for four runs, including a 2-RBI homer, while Taylor and
Alli McGovern each scored two runs.

Sierra Storm earned her sixth win of the season with
Connor Decker pitching 1.1 innings in relief. Mickayla Grow took the loss.
